Orchid Environmental has domestic waste technology actually up and running in Liverpool. They can save Councils vast sums of money if the plant is adopted as they strip out all recyclables which saves the two, three, four bin strategy which in turn suggests weekly bin collection is a more sustainable practice.

weeklywaste comment - this is an excellent idea and we believe it would be far better for the environment as it cuts the costs and vehicle emissions of collection for the multitude of bins and boxes most of us now have. It would also reduce the amount of fines being imposed for placing incorrect items in recycling or waste bins!
