In summary it is said alternate weekly collections are not suitable for some areas - cities or built up areas, especially where there are many flats and houses of multiple occupation.

Weekly food waste collections should be introduced.

There is a wealth of anecdotal evidence to suggest potential public health may be compromised and more research is needed in this area.
