"I've just read about your campaign in today's Telegraph online, and
want to tell you how we admire your courage and hard work to fight back
against the absolutely ridiculous decision regarding fortnightly bin
collections.
Until today when I read about you, I thought everyone agreed with it!
When I went to live in England some years ago I was shocked to discover
bin collections took place only once a week, because in Argentina,
rubbish is collected every night except Saturday night - and you should
hear the complaints about this exception! People here can't believe that
now there are plans for fortnightly collections, we wonder how
environmental health risks are ignored so completely in what we think of as a
"first world" country.
The absence of normal rubbish collection over Christmas and New Year,
when there is so much more to collect, is mind-boggling.
I wish you and your supporters great success in your battle against
what is to my mind, the only criticism I have of beautiful England!
